Our legacy dates to 1972 when the late Gordon “Don” King founded Flexoprint which went on to become the biggest flexographic printing company in the Southern Hemisphere.
In 1983, he became a founding member of Coastal Coaters, manufacturing self-adhesive material.
In 1996 Coastal Coasters was sold to Jackstadt which was then bought out by Avery Dennison in 2001. Continuing with this legacy, in 2007, Robert “Rob Dog” King (youngest son of Don) purchased a small print company called Text Repro & Print and rebranded to King Print who efficiently serviced the local market with all its printing requirements.
In 2012, Michael “Mike” King (son to Rob) joined the family business and King Print continued to grow and evolve changing its focus to packaging.
In 2016, after significant growth, the company decided to rebrand itself to Print Dynamis. The word “Dynamis” deriving from the Greek word dynamis (δύναμις) meaning “power”, “potentiality”, “ability”, “force”, or “strength” birthing our slogan “Ability to Perform”. It was at this time that the company relocated from Glenwood, Durban to Cornubia Industrial and Business Estate, North of Durban, where we continued to expand for another 5 years.
Sadly, our factory was affected by the 2021 unrest, but with a committed team from Printech Engineers, our loyal customers, family, and friends, we moved Print Dynamis within 2 days to a world-class facility in Mahogany Ridge, Pinetown which we now call home.
Everyday there is a hype of activity in our factory, and we welcome all visitors to our busy site so if you are ever in the area, please feel free to pop in for a coffee and come and look at what we do. We would love to show you around.
